APEST is a non-profit international aid and development association, in accordance with the provisions of French law No. 40-484 of July 1, 1901 and the decree of August 16, 1901 relating to the association contract. It was received under the number 0418/MATDCL-SG-DLPAP-DOCAPERSPECTIVES. The main objectives of the ASSOCIATION APEST are: 1. Promote education and vocational training for young people. 2. Implement environmental preservation programs. 3. Enable populations to have access to primary health care. 4. Encourage African culture and traditions around the world by promoting the circulation of ideas and people through international and intercultural exchanges. 5. Develop ecotourism. To achieve these objectives, the association relies on different strategies: – Training and support for populations – Conducting studies and research – Providing advice and information – Developing development plans – Monitoring and evaluating projects – Promoting local skills and resources – Creating sustainable socio-economic activities The association has human resources (young educated volunteers) and financial resources (membership fees, donations) to carry out its actions. Its slogan “To act is to change” reflects its vision of actively involving the populations in the process of their own development. Overall, the ASSOCIATION APEST positions itself as an engaged actor in local development, education, health and ecotourism in Togo, strongly involving the populations, especially the youth, in the implementation of its programs.
